Why meetings typically go wrong:
1. The agenda is poorly planned. In worst case, there is no agenda at all.
2. There are no clear goals. No one knows what should be accomplished, not even the meeting leader.
3. The meetings suffer from lack of preparation. Printouts, figures etc. should be ready before the meeting.4. Often there are too many people invited to meetings. Often the wrong people are invited as well.
5. Meetings start late. Often the whole group is awaiting one or two people for five minutes or more.6. Meetings usually run out of time. Ten to thirty minutes overtime is more common than no overtime at all.
8. A meeting with no clear objectives drives confrontation and conflicts among the participants.
9. Meetings usually end with no decisions taken.
